About Taiba
Taiba, is in the state of Ceará, which means “Terra do Sol”. You can expect tropical sunshine for 300 days per year, ocean water temperature between 23°C and 27°C, and a good constant wind for kite/wind surfing between June and December each year.
Taiba is approximately 1hr to 1hr15 min drive by car from Fortaleza’s Pinto Martins International airport and 30 min from Cumbuco. Taiba is divided into an “old part” and a “new part” called Taiba Nova. Taiba Nova is only 5 min away from the “older” part of Taiba. The area attracts kitesurfers, surfers, and windsurfers from all over the world but despite this, Taiba remains a charming undeveloped fishing village boasting annual festivals which attract many people from nearby villages and Fortaleza. Enjoy meeting the local folk, a friendly and welcoming people who are eager to serve and please visitors

It is well known as one of the best kitesurfing, windsurfing and surfing spots in the world, with sun and winds almost every day, a 28°C water all year long, and hundreds of kms of beaches that run from Natal to Jericoaracoara, includind Cumbuco, Paracuru, Prea...You may kite downwind along the coast followed by a Buggy on the beach, or enjoy flat water on the numerous lagoons in the area, also perfect for beginners (kite schools). The region provides many other activities as jet skiing or water skiing on lagoons, driving buggies or 4X4 on the beach or dunes within the natural reserves, scuba-diving, fishing with local fishermen, horse-riding on the beach, trekking. You may also experience the night life in Fortaleza, go on a trip to Jericoacoara, enjoy the sea-food and south american meat, or simply rest going back and forth between the swimming pool and the beach.
